Organise A Game
Thank you for wanting to play at Chatsworth Cricket club.
We are always looking for new teams to play but also welcome back many returning teams year after year. We always try and make every team we play feel welcome. In previous seasons we have welcomed local teams, teams from all over the UK and touring sides from abroad.
With Chatsworth Cricket Club being in such a unique position many teams make a whole day of it bringing family and friends
The earlier a request for a game is made the more opportunity we have to fit it into our schedule. A request for a game can even be made for the following year. We normally publish a provisional fixture list at the beginning of each year.
Weekend Matches - usually start around 1 pm and last between 35 and 40 overs each innings, however, the start time and overs may vary due to the weather so a match can be completed.
We ask for a new ball to be provided by the visiting side while the home side is fielding and minimum of 11 teas to be taken by each side although we can easily cater for more with prior arrangement.
Mid week Matches - normally start around 6 pm and last around 20 overs each innings.
We ask for a new ball to be provided by the visiting side while the home side is fielding.
On many occasions mid week and weekends both teams, after the match, end up at the Cavendish Club where post match group meals can be provided.
Our club has four important principles which are the foundation stone upon which our club is based and everyone who plays at Chatsworth Cricket Club should uphold:-
1) The preservation and promotion of the traditions, etiquette and ethos of cricket.
2) The playing of cricket within the Laws and especially the Spirit of the Game.
3) The maintenance of the highest standards of individual and collective conduct.
4) The provision of a cricketing environment in which team members, opponents and spectators alike feel valued, welcomed and respected regardless of age, race, gender, disability, social or ethnic background, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or cricketing ability.
